We stopped here for our little walking holiday with the dog. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, his own little dog was such a sweetie as well. My own dog was very happy there and got the run of the pub and beer garden, where he said hello to the owner and sniffed around with Paisley (the owners dog!) Food was fast, hot and tasty. We ate lunch (sausages and mash) and breakfast (fry up) here, the owner was accommodating with different needs of the meals and genuinely seemed to care about our experience We played pool and it was a chill atmosphere We hope to come visit again, they also have accommodation to stay in.
Lovely Sunday roast dinner served with a smile! Friendly and warming atmosphere……..home from home. I will be back to try out their breakfast menu, their new pizza menu and their wide selection of cakes! Highly recommended.
A lovely village pub with a great atmosphere and the warmest of welcome. Lisa and Tim are fantastic and the food is superb (the portions are large). A welcoming village pub with friendly locals and wonderful staff. We were staying in local B&B, so it was very handy for us (and our dog Alfie, who was also warmly welcomed). Highly recommended.
Came across this pub after driving around the Somerset countryside looking for somewhere to eat, what a result! Made to feel totally welcome by Ken and his wife and the locals. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as where the drinks. A proper pub from days gone by which are sadly in decline now. Highly recommended.
My second d stay at this gorgeous pub! The owners are SO friendly and welcoming with fabulous locals! More than reasonably priced drinks and home cooked food! Great event on a Monday night. The 1759 club where everyone is drinking a swift pint of Guinness. We'll worth a look in for an early evening drink at 17:57 of course. Plus the natives are very friendly.
Didn't stay, just had a meal and drink. Great place, although they were extremely busy, they managed to be 100% attentive. There's no real frills, but we like it like that, just good honest food, great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Thanks to Lisa and team.
We had a beautiful carvery at The White Horse- option of two meats each Sunday, lots of veg and delicious puddings. An impressive customer service and a quiz on the wall, to support the grey matter.
